Not long after Patrick’s niece and nephew, Maisie and Grant, cracked his heart open, it’s time for him to resume his Guncle duties at the big Italian wedding of their father, Patrick’s brother. Before the wedding, he takes the kids on a European vacation so they can get a little culture (and so Patrick can avoid the reality of his recent breakup). He’s back in the Guncle groove. Until, that is, the wedding week, when a too-cool Launt (lesbian aunt) tries to steal the crown, a sister needs to be reminded to keep it in her pants, and a teen is being all surly teen. But this is their new family and their new life and it’s time to discover just how much the heart can expand.
I actually liked this one better than the first! It’s funny and sweet and somehow just clicked better for me. I love this wacky little family and as far as sequels go, it balances character growth and plot perfectly.
